As someone who hates shopping for new clothes. Buying quality pieces that will hopefully last me decades is key 👍

I adopted the capsule wardrobe way a few years ago, one of the best decisions I’ve made. I've got 9 t-shirts (olive green, navy blue, and black), two pairs of jeans (blue and black), two pairs of jogger pants (black and gray), one pair of black chino pants, two sweatshirts (black and gray), one black bomber jacket, one navy blue parka jacket, one pair of black shorts, one pair of black Bermuda shorts, a white button-down shirt, and a gray suit. I have 6 pairs of black socks and 6 black boxers. Living the boring life. I only buy new clothes once a year, if needed.

the seemingly minor details in your videos are amazing. you speak on thoughtful purchases and place your shirts on the rack. when you transition to longevity, you take the shorts off the rack.

I love these videos because, unlike other creators, you don't place an emphasis on the products you use. It makes the video feel far less like an ad and more like I'm just receiving advice.

A simple, straightforward video is always refreshing. Excellent camera work as well 🖤

You've definitely gotten me more interested in minimalism! I love how you frame it so simply (and minimally lol).

I've been rocking a pretty minimized wardrobe for a long time now, close to three or so years, for all the exact reasons you laid out here. Great work, looking forward to your next upload!

I always thought high-quality merino wool shirts would be the end game for my capsule wardrobe. I bought several kinds, Woolly, Proof, and finally landed on Unbound, spending hundreds of dollars over a few years. If you only have 3-4 shirts, they won't last a year with daily use. I felt let down because I love the feel, the fit, and the anti-smell but they just don't last and for the price. I have now gone back to $5 old navy athletic shirts and they have served me much better in the durability department, even if I have to wash them a bit more often due to holding odor. I say this because I bought what was supposed to be some of the highest "quality" wool shirts, and the material itself is the weak point even if the rest of the build quality is perfect. It was never a seam that busted, it was always the fabric getting a bad run and tearing or just holes that show up out of nowhere after a good night sleep. I am curious what your experience has been with those Proof shirts and if you are seeing the same kind of letdown in the material as I have experienced.

I’m a minimalist guy because I travel with my 40l backpack. 7 shirt from true classic, 7 socks, 3 pairs of unbound merino socks, 7 drywear underwear, 3 pairs of jeans, 2 hoodys and a couple of winter/autumn north face and arc’terys coats. 2 pairs of running shoes, 2 pairs of winter boots and 1 trek shoes, that’s about it. I plan to upgrade my shirt to some unbound merino shirt in the futur. I have only my iPhone, no watch or iPad.

I do the Project 333 method: 33 items in your entire wardrobe for 3 months. It reduces that fatigue for me!

Not many guys are talking about capsule wardrobe, it's nice to hear the new point of view.

Been trying to implement a capsule wardrobe recently, using solid colours in the tees, black, white, navy, grey, charcoal, along with a couple of pants, mainly dark colours, black and taupe, with one sand coloured pant. Find solid colours are easily mixed and matched to make things more streamlined.

Ideally, I’d like to reduce it down to
8-9 tees
4-5 pants, including 1-2 sports or comfy pants
Nailed on 2 dress shorts
1-2 sportier shorts
2 jumpers
2 shirts

I’m actually thinking the older I get, the more basic I need to keep things, as much as I like to believe it, I’m not 24yrs old! And yes, I completely agree with the fact if you spend a little bit extra on some of the items, you tend to take care and pride in them!

Love the video as always.

Having a rotation of basic high quality pieces that go with each other was the best thing I could do to simplify my life.

My warm-weather minimalist wardrobe: 8 black dresses in various styles from casual to dressier + 2 pairs of sandals + a jean jacket, if needed. 🖤
