Very random question, but do colleges consider the schools you went to and the difficulty? I used to go to a very rigorous high school and our grading scale was out of a 95 (to make people work even *harder* for an A). Now I am taking college classes (not AP) in my new school but the level of difficulty is much lower so my GPA jumped up quite a bit. Will colleges find that suspicious, or will they credit me for my performance in both schools?

How many of these billionaires got their money "the old fashioned way?" I.e., inherited or married it..

Even elite universities grant degrees in subjects for which there is little or no demand, and not all graduates of elite institutions are competent in their field. While I don't agree with Zuckerberg and Musk that college is worthless in all cases, it can be worthless to those without a plan for using their degree after college.

With that caveat, the institutions of higher education that have the wealthiest graduates tend to be those with very high tuitions that mostly rich kids attend -- meaning, Daddy has money. Being born rich is still one of the best ways to ensure you will become rich after college, in part because of the advice and life priniciples Daddy gave you before college, and in part because Daddy has a business position waiting for you or useful connections to get you off to a flying start after college. Or if Daddy is not rich, you got into the elite university because your are exceptionally brainy, and your future wealth is virtually a given, if you are motivated by making money. But Bill Gates and Musk would say, if your goal is to make a lot of money, forget about college altogether. Instead, teach yourself the rudiments of a rapidly growing technology and exploit it by developing a new product or service. People who create jobs for other people are always wealthier than those who apply for a job. Always.
