LEGO Minifigures Series 23 leaks are here, and I think LEGO is ruining something great by ending the number corresponding with year trend, and by skipping on some great ideas for a September Series.

I wish they did more historic figures. The best figs imo were the spartan, revolutionary soldier, and the Aztec.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm looking forward to the new season of Minifigs. I'm not much of a collector of them, but I think the rumored Green Dragon will pair really well with the Red Dragon which both can then be used with Anniversary Castle coming out in August to give it a bit of life. Seems like perfect Lego humor. "A dragon is attacking the castle!" "No, 2 people in a dragon costume are just yelling at the wall."

I'm personally very happy about this. I feel that licensed themes can be overwhelming especially since there's no reason for certain cmf figures to be in sets. The cmf line is perfect for releasing more figs like the recent space police figure, bringing back old retired themes with stand alone cool figures.

I don’t understand how the series not coinciding with the year is a real problem. I agree with the costume criticism but I don’t think that warranted this whole video

In my opinion it's fine to have a costume and not a corresponding piece. It's cool for continuity, but not that big of a deal.

I'd honestly love another horror theme. I know they sometimes sprinkle some horror themed characters in other sets, but I'd love a whole wave to be horror themed again

i'm personally hoping we get a series based on universal films, a couple classic universal monsters, reprints of the back to the future figures with different accessories. a few other 80s films maybe.

I understand of having a costume party for the 90 years of play play the same they had for 40 anniversary of mini figures. But the magic of getting costume many figures has kind of died down over the past couple of years since we've been getting 2 or 3 of them in every 12 figure numerical series. Not to mention, we even get bonus ones at the lego stores in the BAM sections.

I would hope that the dragon costume relates more to the classic lego dragon but I could easily see them recoloring the costume as well.

My hope is that there isn't some chase figure like there was last time, but if I had to guess which one I would say probably the classic knight castle figure.

still an improvement on the mystery figure gimmick from Series 17 that barely remained a secret before launch.

I do hope we get a new minifigure series book as the previous one ended at Series 10. obviously wouldn't have licensed figures but updating the numeric series would be cool too, as those bios are fun to read and analyze.

- A woman in a pumpkin costume
- A child in some kind of bug themed costume
- Some guy in a fursuit
- Some dude in a melon or pineapple costume
- Wildlife zoologist research guy
- Nostalgia bait castle minifig

My question is... If LEGO is launching series 23 at the end of 2022, could it be because they won't launch them in 2023 as the slots could be occupied by other licensed series?

As for them not doing a 90th Anniversary series, I guess that's because they want to leave that for the 100th anniversary in 2032. If you do that now, in 2032 you won't really have any classics left for that edition and they wouldn't want to repeat the theme.

Was really hoping this series would be updates of classic lego characters like the Brickster and Sam Sinister. Shame its just another costume wave.

Above anything else, I just finally want a Mickey in the “modern vintage” look.

• New head mold

• New mold for tail (needs something much thinner than Speedy’s tail from Looney Tunes)

• (Another “first” for minifigures) hand printing for his gloves

• Maybe triple mold legs to fix printing issue with shoes

Honestly, I wish the Minifig series should deal with the 90th anniversary of Lego with the Minifigs be based on figs from older sets or from old Lego series like Agent, Studios, Adventures, Space, Mining and so on, even go back to the very old and the very first Lego Minifigs, update old Minifigs from old sets over the years as well as update old molds that have been around since the early days of Minifig era of Lego and molds that have been retired for years or such, so yeah

But to be honest, I want a Lego Jurassic Park/World themed Minifig series, with characters from all six movies including the shows, A Star Wars series, Monsters Series 2, Futurama series and so on, so yeah
