Yes, because John the Baptist did not live in Bethlehem. Bethlehem at the time this occured would have been only about a small village of 1500 inhabitants or less, the population of infants, with half of them probably being female would not be in the hundreds, but maybe only 10-15.

Biblically speaking they killed all the babys along the Mediterranean Sea. In Matthew 2:16 and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under (this is why it’s important to read the KJV over all other versions this is shortened to point out the sentence in the verse God Bless) with the prophecy of dry bones it can possibly theoretically point to these babies being resurrected. Also explains why baby Jesus left israel and went to Egypt.
