My granddaughter was born legally blind, premature, never walked, never talked, and the SS people want to shut her off now that she turned 18… poor baby still never learned to chew, we grind her food. She’s severly diabetic, 10% pancreas… if her parents work, she gets punished… life sucks, but congress sucks more. Wish their salary was 1k a month, like SSI babies…

Thank goodness for this.... As a carpenter I couldn't even begin to try to recall all the employers I've had over 15 years... Construction is always an unstable situation by the very nature of the work we do... When a project is completed it is typically time to go find another project to work on, that also in many cases means another employer or travel to another region. Five years is much more reasonable.

They need to take the same into consideration regarding education and the grid rule. The business degree I got 30 years ago, is completely outdated. For SS, any past education hurts you.

The two houses Entitlements gave her, after I had no choice but file divorce, one sat empty. She worked at Kohl's, they wanted her. She had to quit because of Social Security finding out. I even saw her running a register, many days, all day.

I had to go back the 15 last week in the hearing with the judge. May the 4th was not with me in 2020 (day of accident). What does DOT stand for? They said that at the hearing and I dont think they meant dept of transportation.

Let me be the voice of the disabled community, in saying this I'm sure all will agree there is not nothing in the process of applying for disability at the SSA, not one thing, not one, that helps mentally disabled or any symptoms associated with and thus i.e. physically impacted or disabled that benefit them, or help them. There is no ADA forms or assist in making the information needed easier, IN FACT the application processes and broadness and vague evaluation lingo does nothing but further build and impair said "customers" mental health and mental state worse than when before the start of the process. It is something the mainstream media needs to make a serious story into. I know there are others out there that feel this way. I haven't been able to get any substantial beneficial work especially in effect to help the national economy much less my son nor mothers economy though I've tried ever so hard to do so I didn't get unemployment benefits cause I was unable to appeal when in the ICU nervous breakdown from the tragedies endured and homeless for the last for and I feel another breakdown coming cause there is no representation for someone like me at the appeal level in at cause the want to stick me with SSI so the don't want to pay for the regular disability pay I should get due to better than 4 decades of work at the finest level yet I been ramrodded because i lagged a complaint against the states DM when bust on a a private conversation that was never announced and in turn no better than a HIPPA violation and inconsistencies in my case. It's ridiculous that we get categorized and shuffled down and have to live with the injustices
