Respect to Ford for not killing the Mustang, *cough* dodge & chevy *cough*

I haven’t had an interest in Mustangs since the 2014 S197. I didn’t like the 6th gen at all; but this 7th gen one looks incredible. I just wish this car wasn’t 50k. I remember paying 31k new for my 2013 GT Premium. How times have changed!

Cool video. Well done. I admittedly have not gone past 5500 rpm in my 24 gt. So, it was nice to see someone not worried about laying into it. I have had 2 s550's and now i am very fortunate, grateful and happy with my 24 gt.

I've got this in all black, got it for MSRP with a few other options like active exhaust out the door for just shy of 63, 000, after some dealer options from Ford like protective coats and service plans.

Much more than you would expect a few years ago, but in this economy (old man yells at cloud) I'm glad I could get it since it's a dream car for me. I absolutely love it, the screens remind me of the old Star Trek TNG bridge piloting stations, and it is an absolute joy to drive in manual around town.

Couldn't be happier, but I do agree it would be nice to run 3rd to redline sometimes, but it just goes too fast too quick. Backseat space is basically unusable for people over the age of 12, but I just tell people it's a two seater with upholstered grocery holders.

Steering is great for me, I didn't get it dampened so I can feel the feedback better, never felt like I couldn't handle it and I'm not trying to outdrive the car 98% of the time. It feels sporty enough for me, but it shines completely when it's driven like a muscle car.

Ford is still making good, old-fashioned American Muscle, and if you're into that I can't imagine how someone would be disappointed with it. The sound and the feeling are second to none.

Rev match also happens on the upshift. You can just let the clutch out without gassing in between.

Good video!!! What’s cool about the Mustang is that with only a few bolt-ons you can get the car to 500 rwhp. With some lighter rims & some Steeda suspension you can very quickly enhance the Mustang way above the Camero SS & any other competitors. If you order the car with PP you are crazy not to also include the AE exhaust to secure the 6 hwp & 3 torque. I have seen over 7 videos where dyno results pick up another 12-17 rwhp by yanking the carbon filters out of the dual intakes. Add an AWE exhaust + kooks headers w/sport cats + 170 thermostat & a Ford performance tune or Whipple tune or RTR tune and tuned to E85 fuel and you easily have 540 rwhp. Seen this done now on over 20+ S650 Mustangs & 560-570 rwhp on the Dark Horse. The total cost is ~~~$5K, which includes the stop-the-hop Steeda & dual-rate springs + full exhaust. Now let’s see the other cars match that. Plus Whipple SC generation 6 Stage II kicks out 855 hwp for $12K installed with matching 3 year warranty with the Ford provided ECU/ECM Encryption. Ford provided the encryption to Whipple, RTR & Ford Performance/ Roush!!! So the better driving S650 over the S550 can be daily driven with 855 hwp without building your motor; (OPG + crank sprocket). Two years later get the carbon drive shaft for longer durability:)
The 7 gen Mustang is the better interior comfort for daily driving over all the other competitors. So boost it and YOU RULE like at BK :) Ford did us proud!!!

Not being able to hit 3rd gear all the way through because you’re going “way too fast” is both great and sad. It’s one of those things that these fast cars suffer from, that we all find gratifying in cars like GR86 or even short-gear ratio’d VB WRXs (new one)

Just fyi the Performance Pack option itself does not come with the performance pack wheels or badges in Bronze color. The Bronze is an additional option called the Bronze Appearance package. It's an additional $995 option.

Dang you reviewed my identical spec that I have getting built on January. First time I get to to basically see how it will look irl. Driving perspective too. Only difference is I got the Recaros. Pumped. Thanks for this!

My understanding is that Magnaride comes standard on Dark Horse but is an additional option on GT with Performance Package.

It would be nice to have a comparison between a Magnaride GT with performance package versus the non-Magnaride GR with Performance package.

The first gen will forever be my favorite generation of mustang, but this is still really good looking

Great video this new gen looks amazing. I have a suggestion for all the car reviewers out there: would you consider doing a charging pad test for those of us who have wireless phones with cases?

With the new iPhones and other phones with nice cameras, some phones with cases never seem to lay flat enough anymore to work on wireless charging pads. I’d love to see tests to see if wireless charging pads on cars will still charge them.

Yeah I know my request is very niche, and I could just go case-less, but just an idea. Love all your vids keep up the great work. 🐎

I´d like the explanations that Miles does about the cars, even me I learn something.

My dream mustang is a Performance GT Manual Convertible in gloss white color with night package that has all black rims, badges and everything.

2013-2014 S197 GT Manual transmission. Front end actually looks like a Mustang. Beautiful car.

The manual trans got a bad wrap for no good reason. As long as you aren't abusing it it works really well and synchros work really well compared to many other cars... Cough cough... Honda

I think all things considered inside and out the S550 was the best.
