2024 Ford Mustang GT Premium Review | Manual V8 Perfection

In this video, I get behind the wheel of the 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance. It's Grabber Blue, it has a Coyote 5.0, and it has a six-speed manual transmission. This is, without a doubt, the best driving experience I have ever had in a Mustang GT.

Spec rundown:
486 Horsepower
Six-Speed Manual Transmission
Limited Slip Differential
Pirelli P Zero Tires
Brembo Brakes

On September 14, 2022, Ford introduced the seventh-generation Mustang at the North American International Auto Show, in a special event called "The Stampede".[8][9] As part of its introduction, multiple track-only models were showcased, such as a NASCAR Cup Series body, a V8 Supercar version, multiple GT racing versions, among others. Also announced was the addition of the “Dark Horse” series. Bridging the gap between the Mach 1 and now-discontinued GT350, the Dark Horse performs much the same role as the 2012-2013 Boss 302 Mustangs— a street legal car with enhanced performance on road courses around the world.

Really great video and review Braden! It's always a treat to see uploads from you! As someone who is a big fan of the Ford Mustang and owns one myself, you really did a phenomenal job going over the car and showing it off! I would definitely have to agree with you on having physical climate controls, I'm not all that crazy about the electronic stuff either but having SOME physical controls such as those are kind of essential. I've been daily driving my '89 Mustang for 4+ years now, outside of snow.. that 2024 Mustang would definitely be a great daily driver too! Always thought of it like this: If you're gonna be driving a car daily.. why not drive something you enjoy driving? Yeah, I know not everyone can afford what they would like to daily drive.. but daily driving my Mustang has definitely been a joy. Anywho, once again really great job Braden!! 😄👍👍

Well, that was fun! They sell these beasties in Australia now and the price of the spec you're driving, at close to $100, 000 AUD by the time it's on the road, is a bit eye-watering, but I have missed my college era 5-speed manual 1985 GT since being forced to sell it on leaving the USA, and you just reinforced the 2024/5 model's everything I want in an automobile and the last of its kind, so it's a bit of a now-or-never moment for me and your enthusiasm's very reassuring.

My dad's first car was 1973 ford maverick grabber in blue that he bought new. Sadly his first wife made him sell it and all I've ever got to see of it is pictures

Gonna test drive one of these bad boys soon.

Either one of these or a 2014 gt500 haven't decided yet.

Good review

Don't be fooled by the manual, it's still Getrag MT82 with tall individual gear ratios spread through 1st to 4th with 5th and 6th being OD gears for fuel economy. For comparison the 10R80 auto has 7 tightly spaced gears for acceleration, 7th being 1:1 and 8 to 10 OD for fuel economy.

Online opinions are that the MT82 is not reliable or a desirable transmission but that the Tremec (in the Darkhorse) is. Now I am having second thoughts that I wrote off the MT82 too soon. Thoughts? 🤔

Everything is spot on but one thing. This particular model needs the dualies, that rear diffuser with the singles is too much plastic.

Its a good car with a great engine. However, its almost the same car as the previous generation but at a much higher price. Too bad Ford went crazy with its price.
