Putting the monitor cable in the gpu is the worst for startes. When I did that the first time and it was so hard to put in I was like OH NO I BROKE IT

That clip of spreading thermal paste with a finger is a VERY good example of another bad thing.
You shouldn't touch thermal paste bare hands.

when i built my pc my most enjoyable part was actually working on your pc its like hoping your car breaks down so you can work on it

I think troubleshooting issues after a first boot is really annoying

The actual worst thing is when you finally build the pc and you did everything right but it won't turn on

I got a ryzen 5 3600x, a pulse sapphire rx 5700xt, and a 700w PSU from a friend for 100 AUD lol

The most painful thing while building pc is parts

No 1 is surely cables, the parts are cheaper but the front panel connectors, fan cables and other cables are complete nightmare, the price is actually cheaper than buying a prebuild

removing the 24 pin and connecting front panel are the most obnoxious for me

Id say ram is one of the worst parts because that's when you find out either the ram you got isn't working or that you'r mobo's ram slots aren't working

All I did was replace the GPU and my dad was so mad because he thought I was going to break it, he was even madder when I replaced the CPU and had to get new thermal paste as well

It will still be better than playing in software and bios for me😓

I am so worried about parts, that I used 80% used parts and somehow managed to build a 1080p 80fps build for 500$. The second is cable management, which I just do not care about, unless somebody goes poking around in "that spot".
Third goes to compatibility checking, which I learned the hard way that big gpus do not fit in mini towers.
Fourth is the front io, which I got right after the 15th try.

I hate front IO connectors, but when I actually had a PC a few years ago, the mobo usb 3.0 header and connector makes my blood boil everytime

gigabyte thankfully figured out the IO port stuff on older boards atleast. the base of the ports is colored and you don't need to check the manual :D

To build on #1:
One of my PC builds had the AMD 7800 X3D.

And, I'm sorry- but it was very small. I'm not kidding. I thought that the 7800 X3D would be like 1.5x bigger.

It's worth it because you save like 500-1000 bucks compared to pre built. And you know that your PSU won't explode.
