Your grading and leveling process looked so much simpler than many other DIY tutorials. Thank you

I know this is an older video, but wanted to say thanks for showing it done with a skid steer. SO MANY DIY vids for patios and other excavation work only ever show people breaking their back with shovels and I was like "surely you could rent a skid steer or mini ex to do this, right?" For a few hundred you get the excavation done in a day AND save your back. That's a deal in my book.

Would you consider doing a step by step video for dummies on sloping away from your foundation for paver patio? I have watched so many, & still don’t understand how to properly & accurately accomplish this. All the ones you have done are great, but can’t find one on sloping.

it amazes me how all of these patio install vids start with a table top flat yard to work with.  What abut the guy that needs a 12x12 patio and his yard drop 10 inches over that 12 feet?

Nice video! In your estimate, how many days will it take to finish that patio by yourself alone if using a shovel in excavating 9" on the ground? Thanks for sharing.

Man. You look like that dude that builds motorcycles with his dad. Just waiting for you to flip out and start throwing stuff.
Solid videos thou. Enjoying them regardless. Although maybe throw a stone here and there

For just a backyard patio I thought it was 4 inches of base, 6 inches for heavier applications like a driveway. Could be a little savings for some! I like your technique of painting the low spots ahead of time btw.

What your thoughts on using old pavers as base with your crushed gravels.

I know that you are bored since you've finished your patio so come have fun at my house putting one in!

Can you do this same process on sand? I live in the desert and my backyard is full of sand. It’s the same consistency as beach sand. The kind where you sink a little with each step. I’m struggling to determine the best solution to lay a foundation for pavers.

All the videos i see start in a fairly flat area...mine isn't sloped...really wish i could find something on what to do to prep a sloped area...how much fill you need, etc.
