We don’t need someone to gaslight us… we do that to ourselves!

I swear sometimes I just doubt my memories or feel like I just lied to myself

I have done this so many times. I’ve also put the keurig cup in the machine and started it, then wondered where my coffee was or why the counter was wet until I realized I was on autopilot and didn’t even put a mug underneath. 💀

No but living with an ADHD memory is actually some horror movie shit you feel like you're possessed 😭

My LIFE! 😩 I have two cups of coffee on the counter right now! IF I can remember I'll heat the other one up. One day I spent 30 minutes looking for a cup of coffee. I got so frustrated I just crawled into bed. While I was laying there I thought "maybe" it's in that place and it was, but it was cold. 😓 I say no, it can't be in that room I didn't go in that room, but it's in that room! 😬😱 When did I go in there? Well, it's either ADHD or a poltergeist 😂😂😂

I've been so tired in the morning I've put my cup upside down under the keurig and started a cup

One time I had something in my hand, got side tracked, and suddenly realized the thing was just _not_ in my hand anymore, never to be seen again. I couldn't remember dropping it, never set it down, it was just gone. I can't remember what the thing was anymore but I distinctly remember this happening

I have been know to take multiple days to heat a cup of water in the microwave for a cup of tea.
<Start>Every time i want tea, i find a cool cup of water already in the microwave, so i heat it up. <Repeat>

True story, this happened so much that I took all the doors off my cabinets

Even the nodding at the coffee cup to assure yourself that selecting that particular cup is a good choice, is so accurate

Yes, but combined with an autistic memory, so I can remember every last detail of a tv show I watched 5 years ago, but not where I left my shoes last night
yokaiwatcher
Yes! Where do the things hide?! I JUST had it two seconds ago and now it's gone.
OnlyWaterInTheForest
I watched it again and there was indeed only one cup in the cabinet. Someone is definitely pranking you.

"DEATHWISH COFFEE"
My boy at this point I'm surprised you don't see floating coffee cups with octopus tentacles

What happens for me is I go to get ice but then get distracted and forget about the coffee until I walk into the kitchen 2 hours later to make a cup of coffee

Man, props to you for getting the mug to the machine- I’d grab the mug, pause for a second to remember why I was grabbing a mug, set it down for a second to grab the coffee, and then promptly forget where I left the mug

that 10 minutes of mental clarity when you first wake up before it turns into absolute chaos is the only time i can get any real work done.

My wife and I both have ADHD and do stuff like this regularly. Has anybody seen the movie Oculus? *spoiler ahead if you haven’t seen it but want to * near the end of the movie when they replay the recording that was supposed to catch the mirror doing the crazy shit but find it’s really them doing crazy shit with no recollection, it feels just like this. So when we do stuff like this video we always whisper loudly “Oculus”
socloseher
Dude.. this had me laughing at myself so hard lmao.
