One of my personal favorite moments in Dragon Ball. This moment is a nice throwback to the good ol' days.

Guardian of the earth is more of a title, before he was a Namekian from space that cast Piccolo from his body and became known as Kami and given the title guardian of Earth.

Seriously though I wonder if Toriyama had at least an idea that Goku would be revealed to be WAY more than human when writing OG Dragonball. With a line like that he had to have been thinking about making him more than a superhuman with a tail. Or did he have the idea of Saiyan's all the way back than.
