Ginger is also easy to peel when it’s frozen and then thawed. it’s okay for me cause I use ginger when sauteeing. So all the moisture is going to go away. ginger also stores for long and retains flavor when used like this.

We have a similar recipe in Japan called roll cabbage! The difference is that it’s immersed in soup!!!

In the eastern Slovakia we are making cabbage rolls. Cooked cabbage leaf stuffed with mince and rice. It can be served with tomato sauce

My recipe for strawberry jam starts with cooking fresh strawberries with lemon juice till soft, before adding the sugar. But I bag and freeze the strawberries and when they're thawed they're perfect texture to just start making the jam.

In Poland we call it gołąbki. Good to know you can freeze cabbage instead of boiling it - more time needed but definitely less effort

we make melfouf on both sides of my family, palestinian style and armenian style and both of my grandmas do this so the cabbage is easier to manage when we roll and stack them! it also slightly thins the leaves out so its not too thick post boiling! its delicious and can be made completely vegan and authentically both ways!:))❤❤ all you have to do is skip the ground meat and use rice (its my favorite way anyways you can never go wrong with more rice) whether you decide to post it or not i do hope you try this dish and see its diversity all over the region not just on the two sides my family is from, the jordanian way is also amazing❤
