“I’ll pay you a dollar to SHUT UP!” Classic!😂 Such a sweet film with so many hilarious and uplifting moments. And, if you’ve never been there, they’re not joking. Jamaica is as hot as the Devil’s backyard! They must have thought they were straight up insane to want to do a winter sport.

John Candy left us too soon. No matter what he did, he was always worth watching. I'm blessed to have grown up watching his movies and his t.v. shows.

This wasn't John Candy's final film; his last film was Wagons East (1994). However, his last film he completed was Canadian Bacon (1995), but it was released after Wagons East.

This is one my favorite movies! I remembered seeing this in the theaters with my friend and twin brother. I have this movie on DVD and I still enjoy it to this day, 30 years later in 2023. RIP John Candy.

I can't imagine Cool Runnings without John Candy. Would not have been what it was without him.

I remember renting this movie with my Dad back in the day, watching it while he drank his beer and me with a virgin Coca Cola on the rocks... Funny how certain things stay in your mind. It's an awesome memory I of him, plus it's tied to great movie. Minty, thanks for putting this one out there. hugs from Costa Rica!

This movie is a 90’s classic. I loved this film as a kid, and I really want to find it so I can re-watch it as it’s been decades since I’ve seen it.

They used to play this on Disney Channel back in the day, and I really developed a soft spot for this movie as a little kid. I loved Doug E. Doug and John Candy, it was just such a sweet movie and a great story.

It helps being roughly the same age as you but considering how many movies you’ve covered you never cease to show movies that really appeal to me. It’s been ages since I’ve watched this but have fond memories of it. Funny and heartfelt. Something that we all appreciate is the effort you go to to find things that few people know rather than lazy facts. In fact, this is a lot like your channel. Funny and heartfelt. Cheers for the videos.

Being a Jamaican myself, the accents they use are more Trini

Love it! One of the best underdog movies ever made...and it still brings a tear to the eye at the end where they carry the bob-sled to the finish.

Man, what happened to movies like this? Feel good, inspiring and all about hard work and perseverance to overcome the odds. I feel beyond lucky to have been a kid growing up with movies like this one and others that conveyed such a great message!

Awww!!! I love this movie!! I remember there was a field trip to Saint Louis and my art class booked a super nice bus. We had our pick of movies we could watch on the little TV sets on the bus but this gem was the one everyone voted to watch. Always a good memory.
