I never take my ammo out of the boxes until I shoot it. I’ve seen too many recalls and guns blow up. When these things happen it is good to know the batch and lot numbers of the ammo to hold the manufacturers accountable.

Yes, but the most crucial feature of storing ammo is that it is stored to not allow moisture to make contact with it i.e. plastic ammo can that locks air tight. Will this keep water out and prevent corrosion during storage? If not it seems just like a very temporary transporting option.
