Whats the difference between Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do... What do you think?

Because Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do have a lot of similarities in practice and in philosophy, I like to personify the two styles to explain to others:
Wing Chun is like a buddhist monk. Very straightforward, with some fanciness, knows how to defend themselves. But isn't a warrior. They can fight, but only do it for exercise or to stay safe.
Jeet Kune Do is like the monk's child, who believes in the same principles, but lives in a town that's infested with gangbangers, corrupt cops, and rapists. They know how to fight, and they use it as much as they can. But not just to defend themselves. They fight to prevent any fights in the future.

Unfortunately all 3 supposed traps demonstrated here are not JKD, nor are they efficient. I'll explain just in case the anti-trolling brigade try to tell me that I'm a sad fuck.

1/ In JKD most attacks are either interceptions (simple counters) or via P-I-A. You don't as this guy is foolishly doing put out a Pak Sao first (a passive move) with a backfist. If you're going to remove a limb to clean an open attack line then a JKD player uses the 'The Beat Principle' as in modern fencing by striking the limb out of the way, also in this case the backfist is to lateral as to not be direct enough. So the first example is total guff. What it should be is beat the lead hand out of the way with a lead backfist and then drive the lead hand on into the opponent's face followed by a rear cross.

2/ This crock of plastic JKD gets worse here, he opens again with the same crap and then applies an unecessary inside Pak Sao, JKD doesn't do this, JKD attacks. The hand that passes the face can hit the face, no need for an inside Pak Sao here just use your left had to deliver a rear cross. End of.

3/ On the 3rd example he is unclear about what he is doing and so is his stooge. What's supposed to be happening is that he is attacking and then continuing to attack after being obstructed by the opponent's rear crossing Pak Sao via a 'redoublement'. However his redoublement is done with a bullshit backfist rolling over the opponent's arm which in reality wouldn't be there, (people retract their punches pretty fast) when it should actually be done with a rolling through the wrist vertical hammer punch to the opponent's bridge of his nose. The whole reason that the stooge can block the backfist with his right hand Tan Sao is because you redoubled all wrong in the first place with a bullshit backfist.

I'm sorry but sometimes the record has to be put straight, this isn't following Sijo Lee's principles, this is pseudo JKD. Also making lame assed war cries that sound like someone's deflating a blow up choir boy doesn't help much either with this debacle of a great man's life's work..

Hi bro, the jkd is wrong, the elbow must lock the opponent's joint roll in a swivel motion while backfisting to prevent opponent from escaping/countering

Jkd can be used in any system of fighting depending on the person's who's using it.

I'm going to say that ip man would win because he's been practicing wing Chun for like years and Bruce Lee only practiced jeet kune do for 13 or 14 years and that's not even enough

I'm sorry but I have to say, you still have to think more. You demonstrated these back fist and lap sao movements were fast, but if your enemy haven't been shock with these, you have some moments got both 2 hands on his 1 hand, that can makes you get a powerful hit back. And, if you use these to against a boxer, maybe you never can make contact with his arms, their position keep their arms back, just under the head, and their punching are not slower than yours

people forget no Ip Man & wing chun= no Bruce or jkd I love Bruce Lee but he is no god, There is no flaw in Ip man's ways once a man said to Ip Man "my Kung Fu is rubbish" Ip Man replied "the problem is not the system it's you" like with any martial art you take from it what works for you, it doesn't mean the system is crap, all Bruce did was take his own expression of wing chun and taught to others.

woah, your videos are really cool. I have a very serious question. Can I learn taichi without the teacher? I can't seem to find any qigong teacher here. Which qi gong form can I practice without the help of teacher?
