Sorc is a really cool class, I just don't like to play with all the pets. Buffing no pet playstyle sounds appealing to me. I hope you will provide us with no pet sorc builds in the future. If they are viable, of course.

Couldn't they just make it where blighted blastbones cost is dependent on what resource is higher? I mean Arcanist does that... why not other abilities from other classes?

Ever since they nerfed Templar I’ve been playing necromancer but now there taking away his whole damage ability and replacing it for shitty buffs I’m so done with this stupid game I can’t even get the enjoyment out of anything without them shitting on things that have no business being stomped on buffing night blade and dragon night? aren’t they like the best classes

This combat team is why this game will never be as popular as it deserves. Great Setting, amazing zones, fun quests, but a combat system that has felt like a decade long beta test. Absolute fucking clowns running the show with combat design.

Zos always starts off with some great ideas then they fo something really, really dumb.

The change the stalking blastbones was bad. Blastbones is one of the necros bread and butter for both damage and corpes creation. They completely changed the functionality to give necros(finally) a damage buff skill like everyone eles.

However there is a far better skill rework for this that also goes thematically with the recro class that we seen in the story all the time.


Necrotic Potency

Target: Area
Duration: 4 seconds

Skill description
Embrace the power of collected souls to bolster your dark arts. For each soul absorbed, increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 50. Sapping the lingering life from fresh corpses, grants you 6 Ultimate while healing 682 Health every 1 second for 4 seconds per additional corpse.


This ability scales off your Max Health. While slotted, your damage taken is reduced by 3%.

Change Notes:
Embrace the power of collected souls to bolster your dark arts. For each soul absorbed, increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 50. The duration of this buff stacks dynamically with each additional soul collected, extending its remaining time to empower your necromantic abilities.

Zos needs to seriously revamp the Necromancer class. Get rid of blast bones it doesn’t even work the majority of the time in PvE or PvP. Buff the skeletal archer and mage and make them permanently summonable. Also, allow us to actually have a flesh Atronach to summon as an ultimate to follow us around like the Warden’s bear. We can get major vulnerability in a number of other ways and we also don’t need a bullshit bomber Necromancer in PvP anymore. Make these changes and make Necromancers feel like

eso has the worst concept of a necromancer i have ever seen, just make the blastbones summon a warrior, and when you want then to explode, press it again! man, im done with this game

I swear if this Blastbone change goes through i'm cancelling my subscription to ESO. NOT ONLY necro is the weakest PVP class and I sweat bullets every battleground to win with it, now they take away the only burst damage we have? They STILL after years not give Necro Major Prophecy and Sorcery?!! After buffing the strongest pvp class 10 times in a row you start to think oh maybe this time they give us Major Sorcery+Prophecy but no let's buff nightblade 11th time xD I'm a necro main. even though i have a stamblade and get easy 30 kills each battleground I don't like the playstyle of it and don't wanna play it. God... whoever designed these patch-notes should be fired from Zenimax immediately.
EDIT: I see some people claiming a spell damage buff "isn't that bad". DUDE WE HAVE NO SKILL TO DELIVER THAT DAMAGE.

Ugg. I use a Stam necro 2 hand weapon user, and needed the stalking blastbone to be arcane to reduce the draw on my stamina pool, which is already pretty high. Guess I'll have to find something else to use now. I'll have to see if this damage buff on dots for my 2H abilities is enough to make up for the damage loss. May have to start looking for another burst damage ability.
