This is exactly how I feel about my Kuromi plush I recently bought from there. Sadly I couldn't get the full experience of the creation process in person since I got her online through their website and no physical store exists where I live, but it was still such a wonderful treat getting her and dolling her up! I can't tell you the amount of time I spend looking at pretty outfits for her online. I can definitely say it does feel very rewarding as an adult when you've never got to enjoy the process of customizing a plush from there as a child. Just holding her and taking her around my apartment really does something to my inner child.

i remember once i went to my friends birthday party at build-a-bear when i was around 6-7. and when we all picked our bears and we’re waiting in line to get our bears stuffed the workers said “guys put the hearts in ur bear now so u don’t forget when we put the stuffing in ur bear” i was really stubborn and in my head i was like “im not gonna forget that’s so stupid” so i was just gonna not put the heart in, then do it when they were gonna put in the stuffing. long story short i forgot to put in the heart and they had to cut my bear open, put the heart in, then sew it back up.

I took my Harry Potter Dobby doll into that store to get clothes for it and the clerk had a ball dressing him. No shame in doing what you enjoy.

i still get money anxious frequently because of...well i wont get too deep into it but it wasnt fun, but my family reminds me so often that money comes and goes and as long as it makes you happy and you get lovely memories from it itll always be worth it. so very happy for you and this certianly isnt silly, its a huge accomplishment!

A few months back, my niece and I were walking around a mall while we were waiting for my sisters to finish shopping.

We passed a Build-A-Bear and decided to walk in. While we were walking around the store, we started talking about how badly we wanted to do Build-A-Bear growing up, but never had the money too.

Then we saw the prices and saw it wasn't as expensive as we thought it was. (Build-A-Bear was like Lunchables, it was just expensive) I think it hit us at the same time that _we don't just have to look_

Que healing our inner child cause we got mad excited choosing the bear (matching frogs) and super into the heart ceremony. I think we spent a decent amount of time choosing sounds too and we definitely hit the clothes racks.

The employees were really nice and played into our excitement. We spent so long in there, my sisters were texting and calling asking where we were at. 😂

That was a magical day.

Think this is the reason I'm obsessed with collecting babs now. It was considered a huuuge deal to be able to afford a bab when I was a kid. I only got 2 during my childhood. Because it was so expensive to us it was really only for display and I'd get in trouble for taking it's clothes and putting it on a different stuffed animal. I'm so glad I can buy these cuties now.
