As someone with autism spectrum disorder(Aspergers) it was pretty awkward asking my friends and mom and my therapist what sex was and the certain strange feelings I was having and puberty and finding out about masturbation.


It’s nice that some people don’t just assume that I’m asexual or unable or incapable of relationships romantic and sexual. Us autistic people have to grow and develop at some point, we have jobs, families, marriages, development, and like anyone, disabled people are still capable of sexuality, unlike what many of my peers believed. I’m still a normal teenage girl just like anyone else

I stopped watching the show this early in this past season just have been bored /tired with it. BUT I have to say I am impressed how they handle all the issues people with Autism have to go through as an adult in life. not just with sex but with everything how they interact with others, how they handle stress, and how other people should interact with them. I am still young live in a big city, go to uni, travel many times to other countries but I still have never met a Autistic person/ know someone who has a family member in the spectrum . So I think this is such an amazing show for that reason of educating people about the real issues they face
