I have the mini 6 and go through periods of loving it and using it because it is so transportable, and periods where I put it in a drawer. I mainly use Macs at home and office, and a MacBook Pro for work away from my home or work base. I did recently get the 13" iPad Pro M4. It has 2 TB and I guess it's the biggest bang in iPads right now. However, I truly don't notice any performance benefits. What I do notice is the OLED screen and ProMotion! Wow. 1000 nits sustained, 1600 peak. It is beautiful. In fact, I'm now looking at a new OLED TV even though I have very recent top end QLED Samsungs. After seeing the iPad Pro screen I told myself, "Self, if the new iPad mini has the same screen as the new iPad Pros, I'll buy one immediately, and if not, I won't." So I won't.

Honestly, the new iPad is worth the price. Compared to other tablets in the Apple ecosystem, it’s pretty reasonably priced.

I have an iPad mini 6 256 gb but I do like the idea of having the apple pencil pro with the hover and squeeze feature and 8gb of ram on the mini 7. I’m not really sure how I feel about apple intelligence yet.

My biggest disappointment is not abot that 60hz or yada yada. It's about the processor it's still using the A series not the M just like the newer air or pro, I'm a mini 6 user and believe me the the only thing I want to upgrade is the ram and chipset. I thought at least they will use M1 in mini 7 😢

ProMotion should be standard. Those A-chips are powerful enough to handle that. Their new ipad air has the M2 but is stuck on 60hz.

I was waiting for the iPad mini 7 but a couple of months ago I bought the iPad Pro M4 11 inch which is only slightly bigger than the iPad mini 7 But far more powerful and last much longer.

Also A17 chip not enough for mini 7.

I’m glad I made the right choice on the iPad Pro M4 11 inch a far superior better product and still very portable like the mini 7.

Great video! Since you have both the Pro and the Mini, how do you think about switching from the M1 Pro (12.9) to the Mini 7? I haven’t enjoyed Stage Manager. The iPad Pro doesn’t replace my Mac, so I use it for some media consumption, reading, writing with the Keyboard and the Apple Pencil, and rarely drawing something. I’m looking for a smaller device, I’m just not sure about the refresh rate. I had the iPad Air and when I switched to the Pro I noticed a nice difference when using the Apple Pencil.
