As an anthropologist, his father should have known better than to cause this problem. It's literally his job to know better.

If you guys remember this story when it was shown in the '90s, she was only 14 years old. The anthropologist was wrong to begin with. She was a minor.

He felt abandoned... the result of his father actions. A man with knowledge, he knew what he was doing and took advantage.

I'm more interested in knowing more about her life in America, her views and experiences on this completely different world she never knew existed.

“She just couldn’t live in America anymore.”
Felt that.

It doesn't take a college educated person to realize that the Dad took advantage of the Indigenous lady.

The lady was 14 when she married the dad. People be on here saying it is probably her culture to marry that young. The issue is the guy took advantage of that culture. He is a creep and disgusting either way.

Aren't anthropologists not supposed to interact on the personal level with the group they're studying? That would alter the data you want to collect. You're supposed to be a spectator not in the game. I don't blame her. I blame him.

Yes indeed. A mom is a mom. I count every day to see or talk to her. She's going to be 85 years old 👵🏼 on April 20. I don't know what I do without her.🥰😘😍👵🏼👵🏼🙏🏽🙏🏽🌹💯

It made me cry to think how difficult it was for the son, and also for the mom.

You only have 1 mom. Cherish her when she's still around.

It was totally the anthropologists fault. She was very young. He was just an old man wanting a young girl.
