IVF | Can HCG Level Help in Determining Pregnancy Health? #pregnancy #ivfsupport #drmalpani

One of the commonest questions which patients ask is about their HCG level.

Now you cannot determine whether the pregnancy is healthy or not based on a single HCG level. We need to measure at least two HCG levels, 2-3 days apart, to see whether it's doubling well or not. If it’s doubling, this is a good sign, which means the embryonic cells are growing well.

However, even this does not tell us if the pregnancy is viable or not, because the HCG is produced by that part of the embryo which is called the trophectoderm, which becomes the future placenta. Watch the video to know more :)

Hi Dr I took ivf and transfered 3 embryo after 14 days I took my hcg result is 138.8 and 2nd hcg after 6 days hcg result us 800..is my pragnency is healthy..

Hello Dr!

I got my first positive HPT at 10dpo. The lines progressed, but never got at dark so I would’ve liked, so I went into my OB to get HCG levels tested. At 14dpo, my levels were only at a 14… at 16dpo my levels increased to a 40. My doctor wants me to come back next week for more testing… They keep saying I may be earlier than I thought. I’m just confused because I should be almost 5 weeks pregnant right now… What do you think?

Hi Sir, my wife has been given HCG injection on 11th Feb, and we have done upt on 28th Feb, it says positive.. we have done the bhcg test and the value is 293, please confirm if this is a healthy pregnancy please???

I have completed an IVF cycle with ET (5 day blastocyst)
Today I was 11 days after the transfer - 16 DPO
my hCG blood level was 129
Isn't that too little? Do you think it could still work out?

Hi Doctor, My HCG level 9 days after blastocyst transfer was 146. 2 days later, roughly at 49hrs, the bhcg is 533. Is this a healthy level?
