A pregnancy cannot be seen immediately. A certain amount of development must occur before a pregnancy after IVF can be seen on ultrasound. This is also true for a pregnancy ultrasound after FET, IUI or a spontaneously occurring pregnancy.

Hi. I have just got my BFP after frozen transfer. I have PCOS and i was taking 1500 mg Metformin everyday and my fertility specialist has advised to stop the metformin now. Should i stop it completely or just reduce the dose and continue taking it for 1st trimester ?

Hi Dr, I am fond of your videos. You have npt mentioned that what about the pregnancy with more than 2000 beta hcg and with multiple blastocyst transfer. When to go for first ultrasound. As my beta hcg on 15 day after ET was 1150 and my doctor asked me to go for scan after 20 days.

I did an IVF for the first time and after two weeks results came out positive and I’ve got a beta HCG level of 570.21miu. My doctor told me to come for IVF first scan after 2 weeks and three days, (I will nearly be one month pregnant by then ) . Three embryos were transferred in the process . At 7 weeks 2 days I had my first ultrasound the pregnancy is there but doctor said the baby didn’t have a heartbeat but my HCG levels are increasing since then. I have a follow up ultrasound this Friday which will make me 7 weeks 6 days. Do you think I have a chance for a success story?

Hi doctor, I had some spotting so went for scan at 20dp5dt (5 weeks 4 days). GS measured 11.4 mm. Doctor said he could see something inside it from some angles, but wasn't sure. Is it OK to not see YS at this stage? I'm going for a repeat scan in 2 weeks.

Hi… I had my frozen embryo transfer on 19th June. The embryos were kept freezer for nearly 6months. Then.. I had my transfer. At 2nd july, I had HCG of 325.9 . I took my ultrasound scan on 16th July. Only gestational sac of 9.5mm and yolk sac could be seen embryo couldn’t be found. They told me to repeat the ultrasound scan 2 weeks later.My hcg on 16th July was 9355. Is there any chance of embryo to be visible in the next scan?

We had Frozen embryo transfer on 11april 2023 (2AB, 2BA). On 24th April hcg level came 50iu/L and 1may 273iu/l.
had Tvs ultrasound on 24may. Sac size 10.1mm gestational age 5weeks 1 day.
no fetal pole and yolk sac heartbeat is visible. Kindly guide us is there anything to worry about? is transfer day count as day 1? 11april to 25th may is 6weeks. so we count from april 11?

Hello doctor. I got my last period on the 16 june. I did test at home it was negatif. Then i went to the doctor, she did ultrasound she saw 2 unclear circles in my uterus my uterus. Then we did the test but negatif. She gave me folic and metronidazole to clear the uterus. She said it can be infection. What can be those 2 unclear circle in my uterus? Please help me. Hi docter in my first scan after 29 days days of embryo transfer two sacs are seen in tvs scan first is seen in fundas and upper part of body of uterus CRL measurement is 4.2mm and gestation age 6 weeks 1 day, GS measurement is 21.1mm and gestation age is7 week 1 days. Gestation age by CGA-6 week 5 days. By LMP is-7 week 2 day. Hi, when do you suggest a first ultrasound for two transferred frozen embryos? I transferred 2 genetically normal embryos and today (at 6 weeks) they saw one empty sac. Is this normal? Am I holding onto false hope assuming that I’ll see something next week 😩
