How To Install & Upgrade RAM Memory In HP Red Laptop - Step By Step Tutorial

In this video I show you how to install and upgrade DDR4 RAM Memory In A HP Laptop. This HP Laptop I got from Walmart and came with 4GB of RAM Memory and I have been wanting to upgrade it for a while. I chose a PNY Memory that is 16GB and 3200Mhz. The model number on this laptop is 15-dw0081wm and is part of the HP 15-dw0000 series laptops from HP. I show you step by step how to take the bottom of the laptop off, how to remove the old RAM memory, how to install the new RAM memory, and how to reinstall the bottom of the HP laptop. I then show you how to verify that the memory installed correctly on the computer. i am not even close to being computer technical but with you video i watched and went step by step and so happy to DIY. my only problem was when i opened it up i realized it was only one slot for the Ram. i needed to have the one piece of 16gb instead of the 8x2 Gb kit. i didn’t even feel bad because i knew i could exchange out on amazon and go back thru with steps from your video. Thank you, Todd. I have a similar-type HP laptop (model 17-g119dx) - about 7 years old - but did not see any obvious way to access the RAM (a door or port). Your video answers the query on how to access the innards, so I'll give it a shot. I had a local store upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 8 a few years ago, but would like to upgrade to 16 (the max this model can hold). The laptop runs the components of an observatory (mount, cameras, focusers, etc.), so every bit of RAM will help, I think. Thanks again for a very well-done and easily-explained video. - Steve

I have the same red laptop from Walmart and I too changed it from 4 to 16. And now it doesn't display anything on screen. So I put the original ram stick back in and still doesn't display anything. I'm lost now
