The cameraman was most likely Terry Roddy. After the fall someone says "Nice freestyle T-Roddy" and then I can hear Terry's voice say that "I'm alright". Before the days of CCDG, Jomez, Disc Golf Guy etc, Terry Roddy can be accredited for filming at a ton of major disc golf events in the late 90s, early 2000s. He's a good dude and a great disc golfer.

Barsby: "got up and down. you got up and down right champ?"
Climo: (takes a long drag from his cigarette) "didn't get up and down"

Some real legends in that clip. Ken Climo, Scott Stokely, Ron Russell, Dave Greenwell, Mark "Lizard Lawyer" Ellis. Speaking of Ron Russell, I was there at the 1999 Worlds the year before in Chili, New York, when Ron Russell dethroned the Champ after he had strung together nine straight World disc golf titles. Climo accepted the defeat with utter graciousness. A true class act.

I see three Michigan Disc Golf legends in this short clip, the late great Brian Sullivan, seen taking still photos here, one of the very first to try and establish Disc Golf media as a thing. He had an early website called Disclife, if I remember right, long before YouTube came along that had footage, interviews and whatnot. He was local to my area and I played many rounds with him back in the day. We also, of course, have the ever-present Mark Ellis (the "Lizard Lawyer") with the tie-dyed towel on his shoulder. He taught me how to throw a better forehand in 1997 with X-Clones ("You've gotta get rid of those Barracudas...") that helped me get to mediocre Am-1 ability. He was frequently seen emceeing big events with a big megaphone in hand using his distinctive voice.

The 1999 world champion Ron Russell can be briefly seen standing next to Stokely. He's also from Michigan and was frequently seen at the big MDGO tournaments that I attended (as a fly on the wall in Am-1). Such an amazing putter, and shot-shaper with Comets and Cyclones. I'll never forget a roller he threw on a 480' hole that circled around the basket, the first such shot I ever witnessed (on Hudson Mills original #4) in front of a whole bunch of people at the '99 DGLO for a bunch of money.

I don't see him in the clip but Al "Sugar" Schack, I believe, finished second to Ken Climo in this event and the initial USDCG the previous year as well, another Michigan Disc Golf legend! He and Russell were arguably two of the best from Michigan in the late '90s-early '00s before Feldberg rose to prominence. He was following them along, learning from them. A buddy of mine was actually playing casually with Schack and Feldberg when Al first gave Dave some tips up in Ludington!

It looks like he's talking to Stockley to me, pretty sure that's him filling out the card before the camera man falls over.
