Something that I do on top of etching my tape is using an eraser. I found this when experimenting with different materials, trying to find something that adds more friction. I got this idea from how skaters use wax to take away friction from bars so they can grind them.

The double layer electrical tape and the etching really helps, big improvement over just using one layer of electrical tape.

Holy crap, this is amazing! I was doubtful at first, but I was able to double my long drag CPS by just doing the scratching step with the razor because I don't have scotch tape. It nonetheless works super duper well and I'm so glad I tried this out. Not only does it increase my CPS, but it feels more comfortable and consistent. Thank you so much!! Definitely recommend this.

I just got a Glorious model D and i was having trouble drag clicking on it so i looked at a lot of homemade drag clicking tapes and this one by far was the best one, it had AMAZING friction when i drag on it and it really helps my big hand hold on to the mouse. 1 quick tip is to put Masking tape instead of Scotch tape, it may not look pretty but it give you great friction and grip. 4.7 stars.
