The tunnel idea would be really cool in a new official civ, kinda like Nydus Network from zergs in sc2

Vietnamese should have their own bow unit. In history of vietnam, archers have always been back bone of our army. And we created our own firearm name ( Giao Chi’s matchlock - matchlock of Giao Chi people - Vietnam matchlock ). Which was pretty solid gun at that time.

Some suggestions:
The main aim: to make the civ feature multiple options (playstyles) like official civs

1- drop off elephants
# expensive for what they do as u need to research the upgrades anyway so u will make at least 1 of each drop off buildings, which is enough for first minutes
# Then after some point, u will remove them for saving supply for military units

- making them cost from 100 food 50 wood to 50 food 50 wood
- providing 15%+ gathering rate to nearby villagers: actually that is small buff as the drop off elephants is 1 supply, so it needs to buff at least 7 villagers to worth a 1 villager, in comparison to Hre prelate:
Hre prelate (100 resource): provide 40%+ / buffing 8 villager max / healing / can take relics
Drop off elephant (100 resources): provide 15%+ / buffing all villagers in the radius / work as a drop off


2- economy:
# In Feudal and castle age, the civ almost has no economy bonus
# The bigger farms, are mainly a bonus in imperial with having less villagers in farms, at same time it needs a bigger area to maintain
# the more 5% in wood upgrades is the main bonus so far
# the civ bonus in age 1 to 3 is mainly defensive, the main way to play against the civ is to boom hard then capture sacred sites in age 3 or u can boom very hard in general because the civ has no way to prevent that or boom then attack with trebuchets in age 3
# because eco bonus is not enough at early Stage, you will probably lose all the relics with no passive gold on top, Will make no chance to win
# all official civs either have a type of passive income or a bonus to trade, the age 4 landmarks are basically a part of the passive income of the civ but it makes turtling to age 4 is the main way to play the civ: i think giving the civ passive gold income with being very defensive will make it too strong in imperial so i prefer buffing traders option and cheaper traders rather than more gold income

- elephant increasing villagers gathering is very needed (beside the good defense, That will make going 2 tc a good option)
- traders to 60 wood 30 gold
(beside good defense and teleport, that will make 1 tc into trade another good option)


3- landmarks
# i think all landmarks are balanced except the pagoda (age 2), u won't make alot of drop off elephants anyway so it is very low value
- i suggest to replace it by a landmark that act as a stable and gives +1 +1 armor to cavalry and increase their speed by 15% percent with Adding the upgrades in the pagoda to the mill available in age 3

That will enable the civ to be played as 1 tc aggression or an option to fight for relics


4- castle age upgrade:
# Replacing the upgrade in the archer range by an upgrade in black Smith that provide +1 +1 armor to light troops, it will give a decent option to continue fighting with no or little gold income


5- elite palace elephants
# With them having 1200 health, alot of armorer, 7 Range, it makes most troops deal so little damage to them before they die especially ranged troops
- so i suggest the range to be 6 and less armor

How do Vietnamese fit in AOE4? They were known as Annam. Early 19th Century they declared their name Vietnam from Annam and Nam viet. If you want to add a DLC empire then the "Khmer Empire" will be perfect for this game. Vietnamese has no significant trace between post dark age to Gunpowder era.

If they make official vietnam dlc i would love to pay for another dlc pack with korea on it and bonus civ like spain or portugal.

teleport is just too OP man, maybe short distant like the shinobi skill maybe a bit further, Elephant in the early age is just too much maybe make it so they cannot fight at all.

Too much changes imo, probabily remove traps and teleport and still they stay a strong civ, landmark are a bit meh tho
