If anyone is looking at this in 2021, know that the 12.0 vs the 10 is a big upgrade. 2021 12 has the transducer well in the hull, the mirage gt drive with the ball bearings, and some other features.

Thanks for your review....I know a lot of people have been waiting for a Hobie pedal kayak at this price point. This is one of the lowest priced pedal kayaks out the Riot Mako 10 is cheaper, the 12 is the same price and I wouldn't bet them against 20+ years of Hobie know how, quality and engineering, working out those quirks for as long as they have and keeping their product line selling as they have. Yes it doesn't have a lot of features, but the core will outlast all others.

I was told by hobie you could upgrade to the 180 drive. So with this ruder system will it track worth a darn and will that ruder hold up? Is there room to put in the other hatch? Thank you cant wait to see it on the flats then btb

Hey man great review, however I’m not sure what beginner is going to want to spend $1300 on a hobie... excellent review though! I’m not a beginner and would never pay that much for a yak. If I’m spending that much money, it’s gonna have a motor on it😂👍🏼👍🏼
