xDefiant Could Kill Call of Duty!?

xDefiant is currently in open beta and is very popular. It feels like an old school CoD game and that's appealing to a lot of the current disappointed CoD player base. This video is my impressions, review, and thoughts about it taking over Call of Duty.

I got to level 17 and played maybe 15 hours I think. My honest opinion is it's a 8/10. No it won't kill CoD BUT alot of people will come over from CoD AND Activision will DEFINITELY lose noticeable amount of money. First, NO SBMM AND IT SHOWS!! Other than severe issues and some hit reg and not being able to invite friend cross play are the only issues. Again, NO SBMM!! It feels good it truly does. 30, 40 50 kill games are possible!

I see a lot of stuff happening on the screen like damage numbers, floating blue effects for something (idk what it is), big text in the middle when cite is contested. Big text for killstreaks and Longshot. It's a cluttered screen

I’m actually super excited to play this. Looks like they took all of the best parts of CoD from MW3-BO3 and put it in one place. This one will be getting my play time whenever it comes out, and I’ll be forcing my friends to play with me for old times sake. This one looks like they did everything CoD fans have been asking for since I started playing back in like 2009.

had no idea this game even existed until 2 days ago when my friends wanted to play the beta. i stopped playing mw2 a month or two after launch and stopped playing fps games almost entirely. to my suprise this game was actually really fun and like you said played as a classic cod. even more suprising was finding out that MARK RUBIN, persona non grata from 2013, contributed to this work of art. i cant wait for the full launch

"old school in a good way" is a really good way to describe this, it felt nostalgic. The maps are also really really good, and the fact they seem tied to some stories like the times square one is very much like the Division. Give me some story even if it's a small amount and I'll be happy. I spent the beta playing this instead of Multiplayer in Cod, but kept going back to CoD for the other game modes like DMZ and Warzone. For that reason I don't think it's a CoD killer but maybe it'll force CoD to make their MP better.

As a KBM player that's kinda meh they're focusing on controller, seems like every fps game gives controller way too much aim assist. Console usually can have console only lobbies but theres never kbm only lobby option.

I really like mark rubins take on his game. Cod killer or not, the game should just be a good game thats fun to play. When entertainment comes first, success and a great community follow right after

Every year, there is a game that "will kill COD, " and every year, it's arguably a bigger POS than COD. Does anyone think a game from Ubisoft will take down COD?

Call of duty is heavily ingrained in the public consciousness. Sort of like Madden or 2K even if it is technically better. You can bet it won’t kill call of duty

been so tired of FPS games mostly cuz of cod and even 2042 flopping, but this really seems noticing and unfortunately my expectations are very low in terms of actually jumping back into an FPS however this game really does sounds enticing and i’m seeing a lot of things i like that are being done better than cod above all things

It needs perks or scorestreaks or something to really play for because pubs get boring quickly. Going on a streak and doing good really doesn’t feel rewarding
