XDefiant is KILLING skill-based matchmaking

Ubisoft's new FPS is taking SBMM out of the casual playlists - something Call of Duty players have wanted for years.

And, they added the "Welcome Playlist, " which does have skill based matchmaking, so new players can get a feel for the game with other new players.

Right now it's really fun because everybody is still learning the game. But I do think in 6 months to a little bit longer people will start seeing why skill-based matchmaking sometimes is necessary.

Bro the teams are never fair i just got out of the welcome playlist and can't get any kills or 2ins outside of it but mvp all the time in welcome playlist

After 100 hours gameplay I can say for sure this game is a joke I was level 1 playing against max rank ttv sweats....
The hit reg is just non existing, unbalanced and absolutely broken charecters.

Love xdefiant! Haven't had this much fun since the old call of dutys... Maps are great! I can see the opponents! Runs good. Redicl stays in the center of the sight! Imagine being able to aim! No visual clutter!

Love the game but it’s not a COD killer like people are saying . I feel like they are gassing it hoping COD will eliminate SBMM to compete . I hope it works though.. but the movement is stale, guns & graphics look OKAY. Gun sounds OKAY . it doesn’t need SBMM because the casual people are going to quit playing soon. It’s more of a niche type game, reminds me of rogue company except it’s first person instead of 3rd..the thing I hate the most is that I can’t ping enemies or locations for my team

Love it that I can have matches that I go 25 and 6, it makes those 4 and 15 matches more bearable

The people complaining about "sweats" is funny to me. Y'all don't understand that what seems way too skilled for you, is normal to a lot of us. Sweating is about ONLY using meta guns and caring so much about K/D that you refuse to play as a team. It doesn't have much to do with skill level. People seem to think only good players are "sweats", when it's nothing but a mindset.

I had just played the game and I couldnt believe how much fun I was having, even when I was going negative like more death's then kills, I was having fun with it, a feeling I havent had with the CoD games in a long time. It like brought back that feel of when I was playing games like mw2 and BO1 days, it felt good to play a game without sbmm
