Some Side quests have permanent stat boots of +5 so it actually more of a waste of time to only focus on the main story line then have to go back and do the sides as the side objectives are in the same place as the main

Side quests are trivial to do, and 95% of the time are on the way. You'll hit 50 much sooner during the story, please do them as they offer bonuses like perma stats occasionally. There almost no point in not.

Thank you for mentioning that each skill can be changed with skill points this made the way I play changed dramatically when I shifted out some skills for others the flow is much more suited to my play style.

Some side quests have emotes for rewards, so I haven't been skipping them. Also they have been helping me level up. My sorc is on the 3rd ark missions now and only level 47. If you're leveling an alt, skip them if you like; but if it's your first, I recommend doing them.

Thanks, only part that I am not sure i agree with is skipping side quests. I'm not far into the game yet but so far up till my mid-20s, yellow quests keep taking me to exact same places on map as orange, so why on earth would i not do them? They not only seem to give good exp/money but also what seems to be a roster based stats like Kindness and Courage and all. I don't know how important those stats are, kindness seems to be needed in report system for example but i'd hate to skip all side quests then completionism in me will want to do them later when they aren't going to be valuable or as fun. Why not just do them on the first playthrough, especially when they literally do not send you out of your way? It makes no sense. And so many "starter tip" guides keep saying to skip the side quests. I see 0 reason to do that. Now i'm sure like many games once you get to end-game the rewards of leveling quests will seem like a joke, but i'm thinking of it as someone who has no concept of value of end-game yet just wanting to enjoy the game as i play it and explore all content. I don't care less about what is "efficient" and i couldn't care less about reaching top tier content in record time, i see no point. I'm here to enjoy the game and why rush the game? People who rush games often burn out and then quit when they reach end-game because they realize they just ruined the core game play experience by rushing to end-game. No thanks.

To start with you can NOT ruin your char, that's just click bate. 2nd You should do all the side quests some come with skill points and stat upgrades, you will miss out on a lot of things and songs you need if you miss them all out.

Now I'm contemplating If I'm gonna rush to end game or just do everything even side quests. If ever I rush to 50 will I ever go back and do the side quests? I'm somewhat a completionist and kinda don't wanna miss out bonuses etc. Correct me If I'm wrong, If I don't rush to 50 all I can miss out are Dailies and Weeklys, Am I right?
