How to Play Rust Offline & In Single Player : Rust Server Setup, uMod & Plugins in 2021

The only aim in Rust is to survive - Overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals. Protect yourself from other players.

- open steam cmd type:
login anonymous or you can use your own steam details

(If you want to install to a different location then create the folder
type in force_install dir then put your directory in " ")

- type app_update 258550 validate

- open up rust type connect localhost:28015 (or whatever you set it to)

give yourself admin now, get your steam ID, using steamid on google

ownerid steam number

how do I play without internet. The previous video talking about playing offline is not explained here. how do i play with no internet connection? I cant run the file without internet I assume? meaning you cant play "offline"

Explaining where you are getting these numbers from to enter them onto the command line would be greatly appreciated. YOU might know what they are, but anybody with a lick of common sense will want to know what we are entering before doing it. Where are you getting these numbers from?

I set up a single player server per your previous vid, but now watching this one I'd like to give it a go as I have a friend who would like to join. I have a couple questions though, and hope you might be able to help. If I delete the one I had setup would there be other folders/files I need to find and delete. You talk about downloading a mod in this vid and I'm wondering whether I need it or not. Also, I had setup port 27015 previously for another game and wonder if I could just use that instead of port 28015. Thanks in advance for your help.
