Dude was putting more effort into fighting his inner demons than the actual raiders.

that adrenaline rush of fighting off a raid, when you spent hours on building a base is insane.

He got the message “we are getting raided” and hopped out of bed to be the John Wick of Rust at 2am on a school night 😂😂 this dude looked like he wanted to cry as he dropped a full squad lmfao 😂

As a builder, an online raid really gets the voices in my head going while defending. the pvpers in the group just get excited because PVP AND LOOT. but for me, its not about the loot, its about saving my virtual home.

The first 6 seconds is hilarious, fake or not it embodies that feeling of going from sleep mode to full adrenaline rush to protect all your shit.

I thought it was just some random overlayed facecam until 0:36 where the sheet metal wall reflected off his entire body

I remember on Ark, I'd been on the grind for 2 days high as fuck, majority of the boys had not long gotten to bed, it was 5am and I was finally ready to call it a night.. when 3 dudes tried raiding the base, the adrenaline I got made my jaw chatter the entire time. I had to fight these dudes off solo for 3 hours before anyone else got on, who instantly hears my jaw chattering, he's like "you alright bro" I was just like "yeah man, just cold 😭😭" 🤣

About 10 years ago on rust this was just how it was for me. I'd spend 2 actual days straight crafting my base for my friends who were lukewarm at best for fighting other players. With the idea that "atleast we can all have fun together if i can keep this base up".

When I'd actually sleep id keep my headphones on and id stay signed in, ready to just jump to action the moment i heard anything, to fight for that base like it was my actual home.

Weird nostalgia man. Thank fuck i have responsibilities in life other than games now.

Man's was fighting himself and for his life! Ayo, those tearless sobs. The ones you make when it's either clutch or loss. I've had so many through the years of traveling and gaming in the early halo days when you met at a bar or at a gamestop. Especially me being the one on the team that's first through the door. Playing duos with my buddy who's a sniper. Those were rhe years I got over all of that. Having to TRUST that my partner, best friend, was watching me from afar, taking the corners with me and not being a second late. The times I missed a beat down or a grenade didn't land and looking death in the face, then a barrage of bullets over my shoulders saved a life. Had to get over that stuff quickly. When they say video games don't do anything. Idk if those people have ever had to test their hand eye coordination or their own resolve before lmao

i remember vividly my best friend calling me at 3am when i was knocked out on a school day yelling at me to get on and defend our base from getting raided. i was playing dayz at the time with 2 other friends and boy did we get through it from my pure adrenaline rush from jumping out of bed to my friend chilling with his m4

Ain't no way this game does not give people some form of PTSD, Rust gotta be the opposite of chill games.
