The other day after upgrading to office 365 I got this weird-looking display window whenever I entered any function in my worksheet;

There's a problem with this formula.

Not trying to type a formal?

When the first character is an equal(=) or minus (-) sign, Excel thinks it's a formula.

you type: =1=1, cell shows : 2

To get around this, type an apostrophe (') first:

you type: '=1=1, cell shows: =1+1

Therefore, in this video, I will discuss how to resolve this error in a few solutions provided.

Let me know if you got to resolve it in the comment section.

Dude, Thank you !!! I checked everywhere and I wasn't able to fix the issue because my formulas didn't work, some of them did but if statements wouldn't work neither date formulas. It was the "comma" regional parameter. Somehow it was set to "dot" by IT guys. Thanks again!
