Using a thermometer would be more convincing, instead of just saying "wow! yeah! it's ice cold!"

I imagine Lew in 20 years being that guy doing infomercials on TV at 2am. And I would probably buy something.

I know this is 8 years late, but Action Lab had tested this product and used a thermometer. It actually did really chill the drink. The extra settings chilled it even more after 2 minutes. So I am convinced.

The most impressive thing must be the whole "no foaming" situation after all that spinning...

To everyone asking why the fizzy drinks didn't explode or fizz up, it's because of centrifugal force. If you swirl water around in a glass, you notice it sticks to the side of the glass. If you were to put your finger on the edge of the swirling water, you would notice the gravitational forces pushing the water to the sides of the glass, more or less keeping it in one solid form with a cone in the middle. Add pressurization, and you have very little movement actually going on inside the can.

the fact that you need ice literally ruins the entire reason anyone would want this...

I wouldn't mind keeping a small tub of water in my room or office if it meant I could chill a drink anytime but seriously? I'm going to go get ice every time? we have cups...

I actually got this based on his review and I can say that it’s excellent and works better than expected.

There's an old bartender's trick that's easier and a lot cheaper as well. You need ice, water, salt and the magic of chemistry.

Long story short the combination of all three decreases the temperature of the water to something like -20 Celsius. 2-3 minutes in this brine and your drink is suitably cold.
