Is it similar strategy to Tommy's Caldwell and Alex's when they where breaking Nose record (huge Tommy's fall)?

Could you attach your silent partner to take a smaller fall or not worth the time/weight?

Had to watch several times to start to get a grasp of what's going on. I watch most youtube vids at 1.5x speed because they're so full of fluff. These extremely compact vids mean I have to slow things down :)
