Lmao. When the clip of Bas Lansdorp having a TED Talk at Delft was shown, that really one-shotted me. I study aerospace engineering at TU Delft and I've heard so many guys talk about how proud they are that the CEO of Mars One is Dutch and then fawn over colonising Mars as if they don't know their own field of study, I'm gonna have such a great time bringing them down to Earth now haha

I hv a friend who made the 100 cut. He’s a super intelligent scientist and he did several interviews for local news, visited schools, etc. Mars One did a great job of prepping their candidates for media and community PR.

He was so hyped on it. Then suddenly he went totally silent about it. Felt so badly for him.
