Wall removal BEFORE & AFTER | Knocking down wall to open up kitchen | Kitchen renovation

Knocking down a wall to combine the kitchen and dinning room was the best decision we made during our kitchen renovation! Our kitchen was so closed off from the rest of the house and seperated from the dining area. Now its all one big open space and great for entertaining and spending time as a family ❤️ Hands down my favorite change in the house 🤗

I hope they had an architectural engineer in there to make sure that none of that wall was loadbearing. I guess they’ll find out if they didn’t when the roof caves in.😬

That header above the nolonger existing door is called a double header and carries the load down those beefed up 2x6s that run down the doorframe you need a pillar or you roofs going to sag down and your ceilings going to Crack first hopefully doesn't sag beyond repair

Can be a good change if it’s not a load bearing wall. If you don’t know don’t do it

No wonder that hurricans can blow away this construction in no time 😂

Oh ... no 😮, you may want to put some of those weight-bearing boards back up. Looks nice, but that's going to cause some problems. Honestly, it would still look cool with the necessary boards back.
