Opening kitchen wall at Bovina Schoolhouse renovation

Unfortunately the wall I removed was a load bearing wall. So I had to hire an engineer and a contractor to work on it for almost a month. I had to relocate the windows, doors and strong back everything. I used LVL all the way around it. It only added another $1, 000. It was a huge renovation.

Horrible. 10 years from now people are going to look at it like they look at tacky beige wall paper.

Oh look, you now ruined two rooms. Open concept kitchens make houses look like efficiency studio apartments. Now people trying to enjoy a movie on tv, or trying to have a conversation, get to hear pots banging around and sink water running. And kitchen smells.
