Testing the NEW Tesla Model 3 LIGHT SHOW! Light shows were added to all Teslas, including my Tesla Model 3 in their recent holiday update. Today we tried the light show for the first time and it was amazing! What would be even better, is the inside lights also turn on and off. That would be amazing

It can project ‘Tesla’ on the wall because the lights are matrix-LED’s. (It was an update with the 2021 model)

Jack, I think it works because they can turn on/ off individual pixels(?) within the 'matrix LEDs' - Say the Matrix has 100 pixels in a grid formation, they just enable a pattern that shows the letters TESLA - In theory, if someone figures it out, you could put anything (not just letters) - Although id imagine the resolution wont be great with anything too complex.

Im surprised you havent used the software to make your own tbh - Although I guess thats an opportunity for another video :P

Story Time: In the 70s I had a car with a "flash to pass" feature, pull back gently on the turn signal lever and the high beams flashed (to let someone know you were about to pass them). I had installed fog lights the proper way, with a relay to turn them off when using the brights. So, I could turn on the four-way flashers, turn on the fog lights, tap the flash-to-pass lever, tap the brakes and, I had a light show! Flashers, fog lights, brights, tapping the brake lights in time, all flashing on and off to music. I was the only one impressed by this, everyone else looked at me like I was a nut (I was). Ha! I was just 50 years ahead of my time ya bastards! 😃

Best thing is you can customise this using the usb pen. Loads of shows already to download for you to play with.

Surprised this is available in the UK! Usually when stuff like this is added to Tesla cars you can't use the features in the UK

The fact each light is controlled individaully is very cool, but 20 years down the line when these cars develop electrical gremlins on the second hand market, they're going to be a right pain to
I do love how tesla put these features in. They are one of a kind that company.

Hi Jack i just got my Tesla today and saw this button. Me n the mrs got out of the car n thought ok whats going on. We were like WTF. The lights... the music... the base. OMG ive not seen anything like it. Neighbours n pets hanging out the windows wonderin wot it was. Amazed. Simply amazed. Thx great vid n god fun. Fellow neighbour too i see. Boro.
