This message needs to be broadcasted to those that believe endlessly chasing materialism will bring them fulfillment. I can't believe that something so seemingly obvious isn't just self-evident. Jordan basically built his public image off of relaying the importance of adopting responsibility, but it's bewildering how he's one of a select few public figures that actively verbalize this.

I read a meme saying "therapy is fine but what lot of people want in life is money". I think this message sorta correlates with this video. Being in a social structure such as marriage, frienships and religion is so vital - and those are the exact things suffering in cruel modern cities. I hope technology may bridge some gap i.e. make easy for ppl to connect with like minded ppl who believe in a cause greater than life. But real life interaction still can't be replaced!

It's interesting, I went to an event on depression in London once and the crux of the event was that other people make us depressed, not ourselves. Not sure I agree but I do believe to some extent that happiness is a choice, that depression is a kind of negative self assessment on one's life/self. Society and even ourselves (negative/unhealthy thinking styles) can play a role imo in feeding depression: You should be this, you should be that, what's wrong with you, I don't like you, etc, etc.''
