Hi Friends! We often get asked how to make our Ilford Jacket pattern lined, particularly when making it with the placketed sleeve. In this video we break down the steps! Hihi! I am about to finish up a lined ilford I'm making for a gift. I wanted to be able to work on the placket with the sleeve nearly flat, so when I was assembling the main pieces, I just sewed down the sleeves about 1/2 way. That gave a little more room when doing the plackets, and I was able to go back and close up the sleeves pretty easily (I did the lining with the sleeve right side out, then flipped the sleeve inside out to do the main fabric sleeve). It's definitely not perfect, but pretty good!

Thank you so much for this video (and the previous step-by-step for the ilford). I’m planning on making a patchwork version so definitely wanted to add a lining and this video has been a life saver! I was wondering if a size XL sleeve would work with the rest of the pattern being size L? I have big biceps plus thick bulky fabric. I usually don’t do different sizes on separate pattern pieces. I usually go for a full bicep adjustment, but I’m not too sure how I would do this with the placket sleeve. Any sleeve advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you 😊
