Fulgrim and Vulkan sounded like they should have been really good friends. Oddly Fulgrim and Manus despite being polar opposites became almost like brothers

Ahh yes, we are once again reminded of the dream of Fulgrim; not as he is now, but as he once was.

There is still the perfect clone of an uncorrupt Fulgrim out there in Trayzn’s possession. This Fulgrim has all of the original Fulgrim’s memories, even the evil memories. However, he regrets killing Ferrus and acknowledges that they failed humanity. He wanted a second chance to fix what they had broken. He desired to find his brothers, wherever they all were, then to make them whole again and set the galaxy right. An Eldar could also see the bright immaterial essence within him, implying that this Fulgrim is not merely a shell of a body either, but may actually share that same soul of Fulgrim within him.

The Emperor’s Children who got to see Fabius Bile’s creation while it joined them to stop a mutiny were in utter disbelief, but they were also excited to see their untainted father back with his perfect form and resplendent persona. This Fulgrim was disgusted by what he (the original Fulgrim) had done to them. He was leading their charge in battle and they were happy to follow their perfect father like old times. He inspired them with feelings they thought were gone and it was obvious that they really wanted this version of Fulgrim to redeem them.

But, of course, Fabius Bile traded him to Trayzn because this wasn’t what he wanted out of the clone and deemed it unsuitable for his needs.
