I'd love to see an Emperor's Children civil war between the Chaos aligned and the renegade Redeemed Emperor's Children. That would be amazing and shake up the legion as a whole and could conclude with a final duel between Daemon Primarch and Loyalist Clone.

Fulgrim was never meant to fall. It was meant to be Jaghatai.

Fabious absolutely lied to himself about Fulgrim being destined to repeat his previous mistakes. He simply could not accept that he had made the wrong decision in turning traitor, that his experiments were abominations made from personal vanity and arrogance, so he damned his gene father and let himself go on in happy self denial.

There was no other blade of the laer to corrupt this loyalist clone fulgrim.
And this fulgrim, via genetic memory, recalls all the events of his life, including the drop site massacre, the death of his brother, ferrus manus and the deaths of various clones of ferrus manus that lacked the arms coated in necrodermis who refused to join him and his apotheosis to daemonhood on that eldar crypt world which wouldn't have been possible without using Perturabo's life force and of course the siege of terra. If he can recall these events, he'll have learned NEVER to repeat those mistakes.
But evil doc Emmett Brown, aka Fabius bile seems to worship another chaos god, one that prefers to keep things as is and destroy any kind of advancement.

Would be a neat trilogy of books to see a Primaris Chapter born of EC geneseed come to grips with their traitorous origins, go on penitent crusade, learn of the clone through the interrogation of a Noise Marine about Clonegrim, and then their assault of Solemnance in an effort to release him, and their encounters with Trazyns various displays and archives, all without realizing that their assault is only getting as close as it is because Orikan the Diviner is assisting just to screw over Trazyn.

I just picture in the far future, where Trazyn somehow gets into a scuffle with Fulgrim and throws Clonegrim out like a fucking pokemon and have them fight each other
