Fujifilm X-H2 is a failure

I am not hyped at all about the rumors of the Fujifilm X-H2 / X-H2s. This is a fake Fuji. Its abandoned the Fujifilm ethos. This camera looks like a failure.

Let’s see how bad this Fujifilm X-H2s is on May 31st announcement.

Was holding out for the xh2, rocking the x100f for a few years, patiently waiting. As soon as I heard about the PSAM dials on the xh2 my heart sank and I immediately started looking for a xh1. Luckily I found one and now I don't have to spend a ton of money for something probably made in Chyna and with no iso/ss. Unless they trick us all and are actually releasing it with them dials, in which case I'll be ready to sell my left kidney

I now own a Fuji X-M1, X-E1, X-E2, X-T1, & my brand new looking X-H1 for $700 dollars mint condition from B&H Photo...

XS-10 was cool for me b/c I got to experience some of what Fuji has to offer w/o a major departure from what I was used to, most hard core fuji people hated that camera, I really like it. Interesting they would release the XH-2 and not stay traditional fuji with it, may really turn off die hard fuji shooters like you say. The fan is completely ridiculous, if it needs it they should have built it in camera, they had plenty of time to get it right.

Long term Fujifilm user here and kind agree with you.My concern is also lack of build quality on the latest Fujifilm cameras.I had to return my x-pro 3 to get another one and not gone even start about XE, XT or XS line.Compered to something like x-pro line think Fujifilm lost himself with changing the camera button lay out (it is kind of mess to be honest), degrading OVF and overall build (yes those thin Ti plates are just another gimmick) quality.I doubth that my next camera will be Fujifilm and I might leave the system if this continues.

Thanks, mate! I bought the X-H2 to upgrade my X-T3 and I immediately hated everything about it. Good to hear I'm not alone about the direction of Fujifilm. The camera goes back tomorrow.

The price will tank just like the XH1 did, you'll see. Who wants this for Full Frame prices? Watch Fujifilm come out with the XT5 with better specs like they did last time with the XT3.

So do you know 100% for sure what Country the X-H2 & X-H2s will be made in?

I actually think for a high spec flagship, PASM kinda makes more sense. It's just more efficient for work, which is what it was built for. But I've gotten used to both and the Fuji dials can be pretty fast too. Fuji badly needs custom C1/2/3 type of dials for hybrid bodies and there is no way to implement those using ISO/Shutter dials. Those dials in my opinion should be in pure photography bodies, stripped of video features or at least where video isn't the main point. Like X100V or X-Pro.

The only downside I see is the flippy screen. I love the flippy screens for photography, but I hate it for video. Gets in the way of rigs with monitors/vmounts and stuff. I'm actually thinking of selling the X-T4 to buy an X-T3 for video for the screen and to get rid of IBIS. They should have gone with the GH6 style screen, added a fan while at it. I hate the removal of the MCS toggle, and the toggle for burst modes. No idea why they remove all the tactile features. Tactile buttons and switches are waaay faster than any kind of function button.

I don't think you have much to worry about though, all the new specs will trickle into the X-T and X-Pro line. Fuji does make other cameras. Not every camera has to fit everyone's preference/needs.

HX2 s(speed?) I thought folks that shot stills at 40 frames a second were called videographers...? Will be waiting for the XT-5 or seeing what the memory sucking 46mp X-H2 has to offer. The auto focus looks incrementally better- I skipped the XT-4 for that reason.

If I could buy one of the fans and put it on my xt4 that would make a successful release in my eyes.. won't be buying the camera tho 👀

I’m 💯 with you on this one. Fuji is grossly underestimating how many existing Fuji users will not pay $2, 500 for this “upgrade”. The only way I would is if they fixed the AF in VIDEO MODE as well as the stupid aperture stepping when using Auto Exposure. If not, I’m selling all of my Fuji gear except for the 100V - gonna have to pry that camera from my cold dead 💀 hands.

It sounds like this camera isn’t for you but that you will love the X-T5.

Your Funny😂 I have subscribed, we need more people like you on YouTube instead of all these channels in it only for the money. I am a Fuji user & have been since the XT1 but looking at Leica if the X Pro 4 is just like Pro 3. Not sure I can take another X100V marketing BS.

Nice vid man, as I said before, fuji is desperate to save me money, defo keeping both my XH-1's may replace both XT-2's for a pair of XT-3's, but probably won't; fuji has properly shit the bed this time or should that now be, "gone full Amber".

To many of us the gimmicky "analogue" dials are just that... a gimmick. The things that matter are the features the camera offers such as video recording formats (BRAW I hope), AF performance, battery life and so on. I'm sure Fuji will continue to make pretend analogue cameras (I fully expect an X-T5 will appear at some point).
