the name IS important; a X-T4 will be similar to X-T3 with a smaller type IBIS thinking on order vs chaos No X-H2 similar type around the corner. Make my words the X-H1 will become the cult FUJI. I love dark horses, lol.
The X-T4 will also not be a full fledged sportscamera. It's not Fuji's forté.

Completely disagree, Fuji xh1 was the lowest selling x camera and the fact they slashed the price so £999 Ofter 18months is a bad sign for the xh series. My guess is A little larger Xt4 coming with dials, flip out screen and I would hope titanium also.

Plus they have dropped xt3 prices so they wouldn’t have a need if it was an xh2.

This makes way more sense. Also keep in mind, all the camera makes seem to be doing this thing where they release the big upgrades (like sensor and processor), in their flagship model, then 18-24 months later they let some of that tech trickle down into a mid level camera, the a further 18-24 months later trickle down into a more entry level camera.

Thank you! XH2 is acceptable. It's too soon for XT4. Give camera models a breathing space of at least 2 years before launching a new model. Cameras should not be like phones, which release every year.

I wonder what sensor this camera will use? Something new (less/more megapixels?) or X-T3 sensor? Assuming that this camera has IBIS I wish that it has pixel shift function like Olympus, Panasonic and Sony have. I wouldn't mind also Focus Stacking option like what Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II has but I doubt they so that. It is quite useful when doing macro photography.

The xh1 might be more of a collectable Fuji cam if they merge the lines being out there on its own. It’s weird that if they merge lines and the xt4 form factor is larger, the xt series as we know it is more compact by comparison to the xt4 and for me more desirable. In my view xt3 is the sweet spot for form factor. It’s nicer to hold than other lines (yes the Xh1 is even nicer but is larger) but the xt keeps that smaller form that I think is what Fuji does best and was one of the most appealing reasons to move from a full frame dslr.

I have been leaning in the same direction. An X-T4 with a bigger battery and a bigger body to accommodate an IBIS mech, **is not an X-T_ camera any more**. You lose that entire product segment and the customer base that goes with it. And like you say, the X-T3 still has strong sales. Also, there is a screenshot from the Dubai X Summit last year which shows a PowerPoint slide with a whole host of dream lenses with the caption “vote for your favorite”. Included there was an XF 200-400 f4, a 300mm f2.8, a 500mm f4 (even some GF tilt/shift sizes). So clearly Fujifilm has discussed these things internally even if we have seen no announcements. In fact, I don’t think we have seen an official X-Mount roadmap update since 2018. According to FujiRumors we will have formal announcements about this new camera at the end of February. And supposedly an X100V announcement next week.

Let's hope not only for an integrated vertical booster but also for a better standard grip, is TOOOO thin on the x-h1 but everybody seems to accept and saying "its' HUGE".. it's not so big compared even to small sensor camera like G9 and other camera. Need to be improved for me, too thin to be comfortable even if the best on Fujifilm X lineup. ;)

Surprise also will be a 300mm or 400mm F2.8 Prime to match the new release camera for the Olympics - same build as the 200mm F2

A long lens or long zoom would gravitate me closer to a new Fuji. However, I do know I can mate older EBC long glass to the new cameras. Would you have any recommendations for an older Fujica era Fujinon long lens? Do you recall if you did a video covering such a lens?

Love my X-H1 so really hope for a X-H2 in the near future :D

Maybe Fuji are playing a dangerous game here? The ambiguity as to whether its a X-T4 or X-H2 must be killing sales of both the X-T3 and the X-H1 where it is not on sale. I picked up an XH-1 with grip + two batteries last week for £880 and a few days later I saw the same combo at £699 which was an absolute steal. If it's an X-T4 all those who bought a T3 in the last few months are going to feel super peeved. If its an X-H2 then it really needs to deliver some big improvements over the sensor and performance of the X-T3. If its a super pro sports model then its probably going to be really expensive and disappoint most Fuji XT and XH fans. Worst thing will be if its just an X-H1 with the current T3 sensor and board.

having concerns on the AF ability of fujifilm comparing to Canon or Nikon flagship camera. i am a XT3 user but i hope to get an upgrade sensor both at more metapixels and better performance in low light.

When are we gonna get our full circle of projection coverage, square sensor, cameras that allows both portrait and landscapes from the same orientation, and any aspect ratio. (I hate 3:2) No need for vertical grip at all!

Based on the latest articles I've read, the next release will indeed be the X-T4 -- not the X-H2. If the X-T4 assumes a larger form factor to accommodate IBIS, larger battery, etc., there would be no real reason for Fujifilm to continue with both the X-T and X-H lines. They will likely merge into a single flagship APS-C camera body.
