Great video. I put the L74 kit on my Daytona 765 a couple of years ago and it was a bit of a fiddly installation. That kit included a new rear caliper and doesn't work with the Lightech chain adjusters but it's not too big of a deal--I seldom need to adjust the chain on that bike. On a track bike, anything that saves time in maintenance, particularly when you're at the track, changes the value proposition dramatically and swapping rear wheels was something I used to dread. The kit is not inexpensive, but IMO, totally worth it for the convenience. Thanks for the video, I'm toying with putting the kit on my Tuono V4 as well though that bike doesn't see as much track use.

I don't own a chain drive motorcycle I watched to see how this kit worked. Very interesting and my time watching the video wasn't at all wasted.

Great video Dave. Strange the kit came without written instructions especially as it was so expensive. From the video it was simple to install. So yes very good. Sadly I won't be getting one for my bike as its a shafts drive. 🤔. Stay safe and ride well. 🤓 🏍️

Great presentation, even though this was labour intensive to install, this was a great piece of kit for the bike.

I have a 7mm combination ring/ open end ratchet spanner!

Purchased to take something off my Triumph T595 when I did the shims.
(T.B boots.Something in that area)
Interestingly enough, others had different sizes on their T595s.

Nice tips! I've gotten so used to sticking the screw driver / long Allen wrench into the rear sprocket to push and align the wheel against the Adjusters, never thought about a simple axle swap!

This aprilia v4 wheel is a LOT easier to get on than the daytona 675r wheel, Btw. That really got my goat everytime

Interesting information...even if not doing the conversion i still learned some things. Thank you!

I just cut the tyre in half and staple it together around the rim. When the tyre is worn out I simply remove the staples and replace. No need to take the wheel off!

I love my LighTech chain alignment adjusters! The only thing I didn't like is that I had to switch the axle and put it in from the right side.

Big fan, didn’t know you were an Army vet - same here. Bigger fan now. The scary part looks a bit too scary for my comfort on top or the $1k for the system 🤣🤣🤣. Hope it works good for you.

Great piece of kit; the do or die part of the install must be improved by L74.

You're quite right to complain about the taps and drill-bits; but further more for the price and risk ratio I would have expected a sticker/adhesive mould in the shape of the bracket. Stick it and use that as the template so the person installing has no chance of getting this wrong

Like a great man once said: Something something, $200, something something swingarm more than $200

"This is the scary part..." I was scared before the 2x4. 🙃

I don't know if i could spend $1000 on that, but it gave me some good ideas to try making something similar

I just cut a block of wood that supports my tire at the right height. Once I pull the axle and roll the wheel forward chain comes right off. The caliper is a little finicky to get back in the slot it rides in (CBR 600) but I can roll the tire back in on the wooden block put the chain back on pull the wheel back stab the axle pull the wheel back and don’t even have to tinker with the adjusters…just seems like a big expense for little convenience when a little ingenuity achieves similar benefit…that said I’m no stranger to back pain after 55 years on motorcycles (700k miles on street machines countless more in the dirt) so if it alleviates ANY discomfort gotta be a no brainer…

Please share a link for the swingarm “hooks” vs spools. I haves a Triumph Street Triple 765 and can’t find them. Thanks

Hi, nice video!
Considering this is unsprung weight. How would you say the weight compares to OEM?
I've had a look at something like this but if it's heavier than OEM I'll stick to that even though it's a bit more work.

Sorry to hear you didn’t like the Pit Bull pit crew wedge. Makes my life a lot easier changing the rear tire. Must not be for everyone.
