The chain slack should be measured as the difference between pulling the chain down as well as pushing it up. In addition the slack should be set on the side stand not paddock stands. The combination of not measuring whilst pulling and setting it on paddock stand may mean that your chain slack is OK, but please check it to ensure it is in tolerance.
