I feel bad for the kid. Apparently the actor was relentlessly bullied for his acting afterwards.

These words should be immortalized in all media genres. Nothing is so true with regard to how hate is facilitated. Wise words you George Lucas!

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to violence, violence leads to conflict, conflict leads to war. War leads to destruction. Destruction leads to poverty. Poverty leads to starvation. Starvation leads to death.

Yoda: "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."

Me: "And suffering leads to redemption, Master Yoda."

Anakin feared losing his mother, and he ended up losing her. Which led to anger, hate, and suffering.

powerful line. Be brave, whoever's reading this.

They maybe should've sent Obi-Wan and Anakin back to Tatooine after the Phantom Menace with a couple hundred credits to buy Anakin's mom's freedom and just have her live in Courscant while Anakin continued training as Obi-Wan's padawan... would've solved alot of problems down the road

I love the Buddhism influences throughout these films.

I think Yoda’s line fits through all of Anakin’s story. The fear of losing his mother and Padmé. While Palpatine manipulated him, saying that the dark side had more powers that weren’t learned from a Jedi. Which is the reason why he killed the younglings in order to save the woman he loved. But that only sealed his fate. The anger of losing his trust to Obi-Wan, and he wasn’t rank to Jedi Master. When Anakin was defeated by Obi-Wan in their final battle in Episode 3, his eyes turned yellowish. Meaning that his path to the dark side was completed, filled with hatred, with his iconic line saying to him “I HATE YOU”. A sith lord also has to harness all of their negative emotions to embrace the dark side. The suffering part was the events of Darth Vader. From the pain that he was given, and by completely destroying his original name. Which he said “Anakin is gone. I’m what remains. You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker. I did”. Vader even regretted joining the dark side because his suit brought him constant psychological pain in his life.

Everyone hates on Jake Lloyd for his acting skills, but I think he nailed the whole young Anakin Skywalker role.

This is probably the most true and profound thing to come out of Stat Wars, let alone George Lucas. This is absolutely true about emotions. We will get scared, and that will make us angry. And we will eventually learn to hate that anger. And if continue to hate, we will suffer for it.

Suffering leads to nihilism, nihilism leads to destruction of all that lives, so you can punish existence itself! Only human is capable of grasping this mode of being and actually do it

Turns out fear does lead to anger that anger does lead to hate and hate did lead to suffering. Found that out recently. Wish Ida understood this before.
