"We are encouraged to love"that's what Anakin said about the jedi..but is clearly direct to himself...he have too much love to give, too much passion and the proof is that he become Vader and destroy the Jedi, out of love for Padmè...and he became Anakin again and destroy the emperor out of love for Luke...
In order to be the one who bring balance, he had to live every aspect of all things.
Light side of the force-dark side of the force.
Love and life-hate and death
Peaceful and not obsessed love-obsessed and destructive love.
I really think, that the good part of this love(Padmè)was transfering in Luke and when he knows about Luke he suddendly felt less evil, less obsessed, less angry, Luke remind him true love, happiness, compassion, freedom(Padmè).
We can say at the end that his love for Padmè wich had destroyed him,
Save him in the end..



That's why he has so much light and so much darkness..because he was born to handle and restore both of them.

When I was watching Star Wars 4-6 as a young boy of 6-9 in the middle of the 90's, I thought Luke would be a great character.
But when watching 1-3, it turned out the badass villain which is his dad is far more interesting then Luke.
One of the best and most tragic characters ever created. I hope in 2-300 years people will recognize him as that, and not only as the evil one.
