Why Do the Villains Go Back to the Spirit Realm after Chameleon's Defeat? When the Chameleon absorbs the skills of all the Kung Fu masters, she becomes incredibly powerful. However, she didn't count on Zhen teaming up with Po to take her down. Chameleon's ego was way too big for her own good, and she couldn't see her own downfall coming. Despite her belief in her invincibility, she underestimated Po, who had trained hard in Kung Fu, unlike her, who stole the skills. Po manages to return the stolen skills to Tai Lung and the other masters. But why do the villains return to the spirit realm? They realize it's the right thing to do. Even though they were brought back to the mortal world, they couldn't regain their former strength. Tai Lung, in particular, acknowledges that Po is a worthy protector of the Valley of Peace and the staff of knowledge. While it might have been tempting for them to seek revenge, they understand that their place is in the spirit realm now.

This scene was a big „Fuck You“ to Kung Fu Panda 2. I can still understand a bit the other Villains bowing to Po. But Lord fcking Shen would never do that. After killing Po‘s Mother, whipping all the pandas out burning panda villages…DreamWorks killed its own legacy

Here’s the thing, a lot of us can buy Tai lung redeeming himself and returning to the spirit realm, and I’ve come around to Shen wanting to return, because of him accepting his fate in the second movie, but why in the living spirit realm does Kai just go willfully, and while we’re at it, how is in the spirit realm in the first place when he was basically eviserated in spirit form making him basically double dead

The dude had his dream stolen for him just to die to a panda, and then he got revived just to watch someone else steal his dream from it again

I think the spirit realm mellowed them out. Plus, they don’t have to like Po, but they can still be thankful that he saved them from the chameleon and allowed them to return to rest once more.
